PlayStation 3 makes anticipated debut

Sony's PlayStation 3 made its highly anticipated debut in Japan to long queues Nov. 11, with local stores selling out their supplies. Plagued with production problems, however, Sony Corp. managed to ready only 100,000 PlayStation 3 machines in time for its debut in Japan. The new console will also not play some of 8,000 titles designed for previous PlayStations, even though Sony had claimed that it could. (AP)
