Court fines Winny software developer
A court fined the developer of free file-sharing software Winny ¥1.5 million for helping to violate copyright laws with his program, sources said Dec. 13. Isamu Kaneko was arrested in 2004 for violating copyright laws. He was also accused of helping another man disseminate copyrighted material with Winny. (AP)
