Dice-K battles Ichiro at Fenway Park

The Seattle Mariners beat the Boston Red Sox 3-0 in Daisuke Matsuzaka's Fenway Park debut in Boston on April 11, which pitted Dice-K against compatriot Ichiro Suzuki before a crowd of over 36,000. Matsuzaka retired Suzuki all four times he faced him, but allowed three runs and six hits before leaving the game. Dice-K made his major league debut in a victory against the Kansas City Royals on April 5. (AP)
