Deadly fungus attacks Japanese frogs
Japan's first case in the wild of a deadly fungus that has been killing frogs around the world has been confirmed, a team of scientists said June 11. This comes just months after the fungus was detected in captive imported frogs.
The chytrid fungus is blamed for frog population plunges and even the extinction of some species of frog in Central America and Australia. (AP)
