Tosa wins bronze in women's marathon

Japanese runner Reiko Tosa won the women's marathon bronze, bringing an end to Japan's medals drought at the 11th world athletics championships in Osaka on Sept. 2. Kenya's Catherine Ndereba won her second gold medal in three championships in 2 hours, 30 minutes, 37 seconds, followed by China's Zhou Chunxiu. Tosa clocked 2:30:55 on the final day of the nine-day event. (Kyodo)
