A 61-year-old man in Kagawa Prefecture confessed Nov. 27 to killing his sister-in-law, Keiko Miura, 58, and her granddaughters, Akane, 5, and Ayana, 3.
The killer, Masanori Kawasaki, said he intended to only kill his sister-in-law. His wife, who died of an illness earlier this year, had borrowed a great deal of money on behalf of Miura. Kawasaki later found out and developed a grudge against Miura. (Kyodo)
