Cash found in mysterious envelopes

Mysterious brown envelopes containing cash totaling ¥1.81 million were found between July 27 and 28 in mailboxes of 18 households in the same condominium building in Tokyo's Bunkyo Ward. This follows a number of recent cases in which envelopes containing cash were found or in which large amounts of cash were thrown onto streets. (Kyodo)
