Sony unveils new 3-mm-thick TV

Sony Corp. on Oct. 1 unveiled the first flat-screen television using organic light emitting diode (OLED) technology, a display method common in laptops and mobile phones. The 11-inch display XEL-1 television, which will go on sale Dec. 1, has a display thickness of just three millimeters. (AP)
