Hospital workers abandon blind patient

Four workers at a hospital in Sakai, Osaka Prefecture, abandoned a 63-year-old blind male patient in a park in Osaka in September, officials said Nov. 13. One of the four workers later called an ambulance for the man. The man, who also had diabetes, had been at the hospital for seven years. (Kyodo)
