Viacom first media to sue YouTube

Media conglomerate Viacom Inc. is suing YouTube for $1 billion (¥116 billion), claiming that the video-sharing site had built a business by using the Internet to "willingly infringe copyrights on a huge scale." Other media companies also have major concerns about YouTube, but Viacom's lawsuit was the first to be filed by a major media owner. (AP)
