South Korean hostage killed in Afghanistan

The body of a South Korean hostage was found by police July 25 in central Afghanistan. The man was one of at least 23 South Korean aid workers — including 18 women — who had been kidnapped by the Taliban a week earlier. The Taliban have demanded the release of militants from prison in exchange for the hostages. Negotiations have led to the release of eight of the hostages in return for a ransom. (AP)
