Bonds makes history with 756th home run
|

Barry Bonds of the San Francisco Giants set the all-time home run record by hitting No. 756 in the fifth inning of a game against the Washington Nationals in San Francisco on Aug. 7. For one moment, everyone could forget about the controversy surrounding Bonds' career, and it didn't matter how many of his home runs might have been fueled by steroids or performance enhancers. The Nationals won the game 8-6. (AP)
