Iran refuses to budge on uranium issue

Despite a U.N. Security Council deadline, Iran refused to agree to demands that it stop its uranium enrichment program or face harsher sanctions. Iran has called for further talks, while Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Iran was ready to halt its enrichment program, only if Western nations do the same. (AP)
