Rugby: South Africa wins World Cup

South Africa beat England 15-6 in the final of the Rugby World Cup in Paris on Oct. 20. Rugby is largely a white sport in South Africa, but there are two black players on the team and the victory is seen as a symbol of reconciliation. "It's something we have worked a lifetime for, but it's something that will take another lifetime to sink in," captain John Smit said when he was greeted by thousands of fans on his return to South Africa.
