Nippon Paper in trouble over recycling

The president of Nippon Paper Group, which is one of Japan's largest paper mills, said Jan. 16 that he will step down.
Masatomo Nakamura is taking responsibility for the selling of recycled paper products that contained less recycled paper than claimed.
The paper products included New Year's greeting cards as well as copy paper and notebook paper.
The postcards contained only 1 percent to 4 percent recycled paper when they should have contained 40 percent. (Kyodo)

年賀はがきなどの古紙配合率が基準より大幅に下回っていた問題を受け、日本製紙の中村雅知社長は引責辞任する意向を明らかにした。
