Hit-and-run driver drags man to death

A 30-year-old man died after he was hit in the early hours of the morning Oct. 21 by a car in central Osaka and dragged for about 3 kilometers.
The victim was identified as real estate employee Gentaro Suzuki, of Sakai, Osaka Prefecture.
A few days earlier, a 14-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of hitting a 58-year-old man with a minivehicle and dragging him for about 180 meters, seriously injuring him.
The minimum age for a driver's license in Japan is 18. (Kyodo News)
