Women evade record inheritance tax
|

Two women were arrested March 11 on suspicion of evading a record ¥2.86 billion in inheritance tax. The women inherited about ¥8 billion when their father died in 2005. They didn't declare ¥5.93 billion of the inheritance. Police found about ¥5 billion in cardboard boxes in one of the women's garage. She said she had "forgotten" about it. (Kyodo News)
過去最高の28億円あまりの相続税脱税
亡父の遺産約59億3000万円を隠し約28億6000万円を脱税したとして、警察は11日大阪に住む姉妹を逮捕した。相続税の脱税額としては過去最高になる。
