English elementary school planned
Doshisha University plans to open an elementary school in 2011 offering classes in English, officials said July 22. The school will be in Kizugawa, Kyoto Prefecture. Its chief target will be the children of foreign researchers at Kansai Science City. It will also have classes in Japanese for Japanese students returning from abroad. (Kyodo News)
