There was only one personal computer for every seven students at public elementary, junior high and high schools in March, a survey said Aug. 12. This is a long way from the government's target of one computer for every 3.6 students by 2010. This is despite ¥150 billion in tax grants in 2007 to help improve information infrastructure at schools. (Kyodo News)
