Mystery submarine remains mystery
Japan's Maritime Self-Defense Force searched unsuccessfully for an unidentified foreign submarine detected Sept. 14 in its territorial waters earlier in the day. The Aegis destroyer Atago spotted the submarine off Shikoku but the craft did not raise a national flag or surface, breaking international law. The Atago soon lost track of the submarine. (AP)
