Immigrants vital to stop labor shortage
Japan should increase immigrant labor in fields such as welfare, manufacturing, construction and agriculture to offset the shrinking domestic workforce, the Japan Business Federation (Nippon Keidanren) said Oct. 14. Japan's largest business lobby also said transport and fishery should also be opened up to foreign labor. (Kyodo News)
