Economic inequality is growing in the world's richest countries, particularly in the United States, as the world moves toward recession, a report said Oct. 21. The gap between rich and poor has widened over the past 20 years in nearly all the 30 countries studied, even as technology has spurred rapid growth in their economies. (AP)
