Bush dodges shoe-toss in Iraq

President George W. Bush wrapped up a trip to Iraq and Afghanistan on Dec. 15 that was billed as a kind of victory lap, despite not having a clear victory in either war zone.
Bush held a joint news conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Dec. 14 in which he said, "The war is not over, but it is decisively on its way to being won."
But the president's message was interrupted when an Iraqi journalist hurled his shoes at Bush in a near-miss, shouting in Arabic, "This is your farewell kiss, you dog!" (AP)
