|
|
Virgin Atlantic flew the world's first commercial plane powered by biofuel Feb. 24. The company wants to show that it can fly planes that produce less carbon dioxide. The biofuel was a mixture of coconut and babassu oil. The plane flew from London to Amsterdam. The airline industry has been coming under fire recently because planes are a major source of air pollution. (AP)
