Tata Motors buys Jaguar, Land Rover

India's Tata Motors will buy Jaguar and Land Rover from ailing U.S. carmaker Ford for $2.3 billion (¥229 billion). This is less than half of what Ford paid for them in 1989. Tata will now make one of the most expensive cars in the world — the Jaguar XK at $80,000 (¥8 million) — and the cheapest — the Nano at $2,500 (¥250,000). (AP)
