Landmark cluster bomb agreement

Delegates from 111 countries agreed in Dublin on May 28 to ban the use of cluster bombs and help clear any remaining unexploded cluster bombs. But the United States, Russia, China, India, Israel and Pakistan — all major producers and stockpilers of cluster bombs — were not part of the agreement. (AP)

ダブリンで開かれている国際会議に出席した111ヵ国の代表者は5月28日、不発弾の被害が問題化しているクラスター爆弾の使用を全面的に禁止する条約案で合意した。
