Harper welcomes Obama to Canada

Presidents send signals with their choices of their first international trips, and by going to Ottawa on Feb. 19, U.S. President Barack Obama meant to show that energy and Afghanistan are at the top of his list.

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Obama said they had decided to begin a new clean-energy dialogue to advance carbon-reduction technologies and develop a modern electric grid. (AP)
