Guitarist Gallagher quits Oasis

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher said he's leaving the British pop band because he can't work "a day longer" with his brother Liam. In a letter posted to the band's Web site Aug. 29, Gallagher also apologizes for having to cancel European concerts. The posting says "the level of verbal and violent intimidation towards me, my family, friends and comrades has become intolerable." (AP)
