男女平等ランキングで日本は94位
世界経済フォーラムは10月12日、社会進出などにおける性別格差ランキングを発表した。それによると、日本は134カ国中94位と前年の101位から上昇したものの、主要先進国の中では最下位だった。
Japan ranks 94th in gender equality
Japan ranks 94th in gender equality, a minor improvement from 2009 when it ranked 101st, according to a study by the World Economic Forum (WEF). In the WEF's 2010 "Global Gender Gap Report," the four Nordic countries of Iceland, Norway, Finland and Sweden topped the list just as they did in 2009. The United States ranked 19th, an improvement from 31st in 2009. (Kyodo News)
