Yakiniku chain death toll reaches 4

The death toll in a string of food poisoning cases at a yakiniku barbecue restaurant chain came to four after a woman died May 5, local authorities said.
After dining at an outlet of the Yakiniku-zakaya Ebisu chain in Tonami, Toyama Prefecture, in April, the woman was hospitalized for food poisoning and her condition deteriorated, according to the prefectural government.
In addition, two boys and another woman have died in the food poisoning cases in Toyama and Fukui prefectures.
Dozens of people have been sickened, with enterohemorrhagic E. coli, including the O-111 and O-157 strains, detected in many of them. (Kyodo News)

焼き肉チェーン店「焼肉酒家えびす」の集団食中毒事件で5月5日、富山県内の70代女性が死亡したことが発表された。同チェーン店の食中毒での死者はこれで4人目。
