Olympic judo champ held over rape
Police arrested two-time Olympic judo champion Masato Uchishiba on Dec. 6 on suspicion of raping a female member of the judo team at the university where he taught. Uchishiba, 33, allegedly raped the teenager at a Tokyo hotel in late September after drinking with her and others from Kyushu University of Nursing and Social Welfare in Kumamoto Prefecture during a road trip, according to the police.
