Djokovic wins first Wimbledon title

Novak Djokovic won his third Grand Slam title by beating defending champion Rafael Nadal 6-4, 6-1, 1-6, 6-3 in the Wimbledon final July 3 at the All England Club. When the second-seeded Serb realized he was the Wimbledon champion, he fell to the ground and covered the grass like a blanket. On the previous day Petra Kvitova won her first major tennis title by beating former champion and tournament favorite Maria Sharapova in the women's final.
