Koga ninja chief to teach Mie biz

Mie University has hired the head of the 500-year-old Koga ninja clan as a professor to research and teach how ninja techniques can be used in business. The university said Jan. 31 that Jinichi Kawakami, 62, the 21st head of the Koga clan, will teach ninja know-how at its Community-University Cooperation Center in Tsu. "I hope to compile research on ninja skills, which are the culmination of survival techniques, in a form that can be used in today's society," Kawakami said. (Kyodo News)
