At Softbank, bonus linked to TOEIC

Softbank Corp. said Jan. 11 it will pay a yen1 million bonus to any of its employees who score 900 points or more in the TOEIC English-language proficiency test, starting this month. Those who score between 800 to 899 will each receive a ¥300,000 bonus, said Softbank spokeswoman Hiroe Kotera. By incentivizing workers to enhance their English skills, Softbank aims to increase the number of its workers fluent in the language as it expands overseas. (The Japan Times)

ソフトバンクは1月11日、TOEICで900点以上を取った社員に100万円、800点以上の社員には30万円の報奨金を支給する制度を月内にも始めると明らかにした。
