Tokyo Electric Power Co. (Tepco) confirmed April 9 that radioactive water was leaking from another underground storage tank at the crippled Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant.
Suspicion of the leak arose after Tepco started transferring water inside a tank where leakage was detected April 6 and 7.
Tepco said April 10 it will transfer all the highly radioactive water stored in underground tanks to more reliable containers by the end of June to address the risks of further leaks. (Kyodo)
