Career high puts Asada into Grand Prix Final

Mao Asada reached the Grand Prix Final with her second victory in this year's series by capturing her fourth NHK Trophy in Tokyo on Nov. 9.

Asada, set to retire after the Sochi Olympics in February, won by a landslide, finishing on a career-high 207.59 points.

The 23-year-old was happy with the win, saying, "All the work I've put in and all that I've experienced over the last three years is finally bearing fruit."

Asada is chasing her fourth Grand Prix title at the Dec. 5-8 final in Fukuoka. (Kyodo)
