Saudi Arabia is finally allowing girls to play sports — but only at private schools.
The official press agency said May 4 that the Education Ministry allowed private girls' schools to conduct sports activities as long as they followed the kingdom's hard-line version of Shariah, or Islamic law.
Girls in public schools are still barred from sports.
The Education Ministry said girls at private schools must wear "decent dress." (AP)
