South Korean President Park Geun-hye said Nov. 29 on live TV that she'll resign — if the National Assembly sorts out the details.
Opponents immediately called the conditional resignation offer a stalling tactic. The opposition Minjoo Party said it would not let the offer interfere with a planned vote on impeachment Dec. 2.
Park is facing political ruin over her involvement with a longtime friend who influenced policy.
Analysts said Park's steadfast denial that she has done anything wrong could embolden her enemies. (AP)
