Pakistan's Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai on March 31 visited her hometown in Pakistan for the first time since a Taliban militant shot her there in 2012 for advocating girls' education.
She sobbed as she entered her childhood home, where relatives, former classmates and friends welcomed her with flowers and hugs. "It is still like a dream for me, am I among you?" she said.
Arooj Bibi, a neighbor, said she was sad because Yousafzai's visit was so brief. Bibi said the young activist "lit the candle of education" for girls. (AP)
