Thai police arrested Sept. 1 a foreign suspect in the country's deadliest bombing and said they believed he played an important role, but could not confirm he was the man in a yellow T-shirt who was seen leaving a backpack at the scene of the blast.
The Aug. 17 explosion ripped through a Hindu shrine in the Thai capital, killing 20 people, including 14 foreigners, and injuring more than 100.
Another foreign suspect had been arrested Aug. 29 in a Bangkok apartment, where police found bomb-making equipment. (Reuters)
