Boy, 2, found dead in baby sitter's apartment

Police have arrested Yuji Motte over the death of a 2-year-old boy whose body was found early March 17 in Motte's apartment in Fujimi, Saitama Prefecture.

Kanagawa Prefectural Police said the boy's mother hired Motte, 26, through a baby-sitting broker website to mind her two sons. Her other son, 8 months old, was found alive elsewhere in the unit.

Motte is charged with abandoning the boy's body. Police say Motte said, "I drank medicine at noon Sunday and fell asleep, and when I woke up Monday morning, (he) was dead." (Kyodo)
