A Canadian journalist who traveled from West Africa and showed an elevated body temperature upon arrival at Tokyo’s Haneda airport tested negative for the Ebola virus, the health ministry announced Oct. 28.
However, out of an abundance of caution, the 45-year-old man will remain under observation at the National Center for Global Health and Medicine in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, according to the health ministry.
The man had been reporting on the deadly virus in Liberia, the ministry said. (Kyodo)
