Tourists evacuated after Mt. Aso volcanic eruption

Mt. Aso in the southwestern Japanese prefecture of Kumamoto erupted Sept. 14, leading to tourists being evacuated and flights canceled or diverted, authorities said, but there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage to structures.

The eruption occurred at around 9:43 a.m. at one of the peaks that make up one of the world's largest calderas, shooting ash 2,000 meters into the air and scattering large rocks, the Japan Meteorological Agency said, adding that pyroclastic flows may have occurred. (Kyodo)

阿蘇山が噴火

阿蘇山（熊本県）で9月14日、噴火が発生し、観光客が避難した。けが人や建物への被害は出ていない。噴火が起きた火口からは噴煙が2000メートル上空まで上がった。
