Four bodies suspected of being from North Korea were found Dec. 4 along the northern coast with the Sea of Japan, local authorities said.
Three of the bodies, believed to be of men and partially reduced to bone, were discovered in Yamagata Prefecture. According to investigative sources, police found one or more badges that appeared to be from North Korea with the bodies.
The fourth body, a skeleton, was found in Akita Prefecture along with pieces of wood that may have come from a boat. (Kyodo)
山形県警などによると、12月4日、同県鶴岡市の沖合付近で3遺体が見つかった。北朝鮮のものとみられるバッジを着けていたという。同日、秋田県でも遺体1体が見つかった。
