The fugitive owner of an illegally constructed building that collapsed in Bangladesh was captured April 28. Mohammed Sohel Rana was arrested in Benapole in western Bangladesh, just as he was about to flee into India's West Bengal state, said a local government official. Rana was brought back to the capital, Dhaka, where he faced charges of negligence.
At least 377 people have died in the collapse of the eight-story building April 24. Three floors were built illegally. It is the deadliest tragedy to hit Bangladesh's clothing industry, a mainstay of the economy. (AP)
