A powerful quake with a magnitude of 6.0 hit California on Aug. 24 , injuring some 120 people, the Associated Press reported.
Three of those hurt were seriously injured, including a child, the report said.
California Gov. Jerry Brown issued a state of emergency for southern Napa county, which is close to the quake’s epicenter in San Francisco Bay.
The temblor caused at least four houses to be destroyed by fire, the report said, adding a number of historic buildings were damaged. (Kyodo)
