At least 28 people were slain in an hours-long attack by al-Qaida fighters on a popular hotel in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, on Jan. 15.
The attackers moved from place to place, firing at people and setting a cafe ablaze, survivors and officials said Jan. 16.
The victims, from 18 countries, included at least two Swiss citizens, two French and six Canadians, as well as the wife and 5-year-old daughter of the Italian owner of the cafe.
Authorities said security forces killed all four attackers. (AP)
