Bombs exploded March 22 at Brussels Airport and in the city's subway, killing at least 34 people and wounding dozens, as a European capital was again locked down amid heightened security. The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the attacks.
There were two blasts at the airport, at least one blamed on a suicide bomber. About an hour later, another bomb exploded on a rush-hour subway train.
"What we feared has happened," Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel said, as he appealed for calm. (AP)
