Safety workers took a significant step toward dismantling the Chernobyl nuclear reactor Nov. 14 as they began moving a gigantic safety structure to cover the reactor, which exploded 30 years ago.
The process was expected to take five days, with the 275-meter-wide, 108-meter-tall shelter covering the reactor and stopping radiation leakage. Workers can then dismantle the so-called sarcophagus. (AP)
