U.S. and South Korean troops on Aug. 21 kicked off their annual summer drills, which this year come at a tense time when President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un have exchanged warlike rhetoric in the wake of the North's two intercontinental ballistic missile tests in July.
The drills are largely computer-simulated war games that usually irk North Korea.
This year's training, set to end Aug. 31, involves 17,500 American troops and 50,000 South Korean troops. (AP)
